Ads getting clicks but no leads

When ads get clicks but no leads, it is usually not "the algorithm." It is a disconnect between what the click expected and what the page delivers, plus friction that kills action.

Google explicitly calls out keeping messaging consistent from ad to landing page and making sure the landing page follows through on the ad's offer. Mismatched intent and weak landing page experience are common failure points even when clicks look healthy.

The other silent killer is measurement. If tracking code is missing or misconfigured, reports can make it look like "no leads" even when people are acting. That is why a clean, single conversion trigger (thank-you or confirmed submit) matters before you diagnose anything else.

Quick checklist

One promise above the fold, one action, and zero message drift from the ad. Then verify that your conversion only fires on a true completion step.
